Carnival Mardi Gras funnel installed ready for float-out

Carnival’s Mardi Gras is back on track after being delayed late last year, with the ship’s iconic winged funnel now installed at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.

The ship is expected to float-out this week. Mardi Gras will then move to another location to complete its interior and exterior outfitting, including the installation of Bolt, the first roller coaster at sea, a WaterWorks aqua park part of the Ultimate Playground outdoor recreation area, and the first seagoing restaurant of chef Emeril Lagasse,

Mardi Gras is scheduled to enter service on 14 November 2020, operating year-round seven-day cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
