Emerald Waterways unveils Emerald Luna

Emerald Waterways has unveiled a new addition to its Star-Ship fleet, the Emerald Luna, which is set to sail in Europe starting from spring 2021, travelling through the Netherlands and Belgium.

The Emerald Luna will offer culturally immersive itineraries along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers calling in at Hasselt, Belgium, for the first time, as well as Antwerp; and Amsterdam and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The 180-passenger vessel is the ninth in the Emerald Waterways Star-Ship fleet, with features including an indoor heated pool that transforms into an evening cinema, and the panoramic Sun Deck.

Star-Ship suite and stateroom amenities include all-weather balcony systems from which guests can enjoy views of the passing scenery, an infotainment system, luxurious toiletries and a hotel-style bed.

“We are delighted that the Emerald Waterways portfolio continues to grow. The new Star-Ship is to be built this year in order to increase capacity to accommodate the global demand for Rhine, Main and Danube itineraries,” said David Winterton, Emerald Waterways director of marketing and global brand curator.

Being introduced for the first time in 2021, the 10-day Springtime Delights itinerary will travel through The Netherlands and Belgium on the Emerald Dawn Star-Ship. Highlights of the sailing include visiting the Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam, a guided walking tour of Antwerp, and a tour of Rotterdam’s architecture. Also new for 2021 is the enhanced eight-day Legendary Rhine and Moselle itinerary, travelling through Germany from Mainz to Bernkastel, taking in Wiesbaden, Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Cochem and Trier.
