Celebrity Cruises has released details of the experiences passengers can expect on Celebrity Apex, which is to be christened on 30 March 2020. The ship will extend the experience introduced on the Edge series in 2018 with the launch of Celebrity Edge.
Celebrity Apex brings on board some design features of its sister ship, including the floating Magic Carpet on Deck 16, cantilevered off the ship’s side, where guests can eat and drink; The Retreat, an all-suite residential zone; expanded staterooms with large verandas; indoor and outdoor garden escapes; two-storey Edge Villas with private terraces and plunge pools; and contemporary design elements through all public areas.
Celebrity Apex also introduces new culinary venues, menus and programming; new beauty, fitness and wellness offerings; new technology in The Theatre and three all-new production shows; and new Eden experiences.
“Celebrity Edge changed the cruise industry and raised the standard for modern luxury vacations,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises. “Celebrity Apex – the second ship in our revolutionary Edge Series – goes even further. It takes every onboard experience to the very peak of what’s possible at sea.”
Celebrity Apex will introduce new dining venues and menu offerings from Celebrity’s Michelin-starred chef Cornelius Gallagher. The Craft Social Bar is a casual bar space that will offer draft cocktails, wines on tap and more than 50 of the world’s rarest craft beers, served by a certified beer sommelier.
